This tutorial will show you how to rar your music, prepare it for upload, uploading it and then making a post for it here.


Requirements

1. WinRar (HERE)
2. A Rapidshare Collectors account (Create one for free at Rapidshare)
3. The Rapidshare Uploading Tool (Download it from Rapidshare)
4. Some music!


Step 1. Preparing the music.

Make sure you have your music correctly 'tagged'. This means when you play the music in something like iTunes, it correctly says the tracks, artist and albums names. You can use Wikipedia to make sure it's all right. iTunes allows you to edit the info by Right-clicking on the file and choosing Info. You make adjustments there.


Step 2. Raring the music.

Once the music is ready you need to right click the folder it's in and choose 'Add to archive'. This will launch WinRar with the following window.



Set-up the file using the details in the screen shot. Naturally name the file correctly for the music. Tsinth is just the name I use for my Uploads, you can use your own or not use one at all. Click OK.

When it's finished you will have a ready made rar version of your music. Now to upload it!

Step 3. Uploading the music.

Start the Uploader software and go to Settings and enter your Collector Account login. Don't worry about security. It is safe. Once done click Apply & Login.



Now to the nitty gritty. Uploading. Click the Upload Tab then Add. Find and double click the rar file of the music you want to upload. now you can repeat the above step's to make a list of file's to upload or you can just upload the file now.



Step 4. Making the post.

Personally what I do here is, use a pre-existing template which I've provided below and just fill in the details where it's needed.

Naturally you change the track listing to the track listing of the music and you can download the cover of the album from Wikipedia and upload it to Imagshack. (Remember no hotlinking!) Oh and remember to remove the '-' from the tag's. I added those to stop them from been read by the forums!

To get the download link, open your Rapidshare Uploader Tool once more and click History then click Details to the side of the album. You will see the link in the bottom window.



You can get the quality from right clicking the song in iTunes and going to Summary.
